From Stylist Magazine sleepovers to dog yoga on the roof, it has been an exciting and jam packed 12 months for Fizzy! Heading into 2019, we look back to our highlights from this year.
New building @ Lewisham launched
Back in January we were still experiencing one of the harshest winters on record, but not even the ‘Beast from the East’ could stop Fizzy’s progress onsite at Lewisham. We launched a brand new building with 136 brand new beautiful apartments, now home to a bustling community of happy tenants.
Fizzy won at British Property Foundation Awards
Fizzy’s head of sales and marketing, Sophie Newman Lau, took home the BPF Tomorrow’s Leaders Award for Community Engagement in May due to several of her community initiatives. Fizzy is looking forward to continuing work with a number of incredible organisations and charities in 2019.
Fizzy arrives in West London
May was a very busy month for Fizzy as we moved into our seventh building, Fizzy Hayes! The brand new development comprises 188 homes including Fizzy’s first three-bedroom townhouses, designed for families.
Stylist Magazine came to stay for the night
In September, Fizzy Lewisham had the pleasure of hosting journalist Emma Ledger from the UK’s number one magazine for women, Stylist. Emma said that for too long, generation rent has put up with sub-standard conditions because there was no alternative. But thanks to companies such as Fizzy, there is an alternative and progressive way of renting. We couldn’t agree more!
DOGA on the roof
This summer was one of the hottest on record, with a heatwave that never seemed to end. So what better way to chill out and escape the oppressing humidity than taking to the sky on the Lewisham rooftop with our pooches for DOGA (yes that’s right, yoga with dogs). Our doga event proved so popular it even got a mention in the Evening Standard!
Fizzy has been making headlines in 2018
This year, Fizzy was named by Time Out as ‘London’s most pet-friendly rental company’. Fizzy was also featured in The Times newspaper which discussed how a new generation of amenity-rich, build-to-rent blocks are now becoming long-term homes for families. “We are paving the way for a new generation of Build to Rent that puts renters first” said Fizzy managing director, Harry Downes.
Fizzy is blazing a trail
Sophie Newman Lau was included in Property Week’s list of professionals who have blazed a trail in the residential sector over the past three years. This accolade is down to Sophie’s strong focus on customer service and innovation, making sure Fizzy is always ahead of the curve and providing the ultimate service for its tenants.
Fizzy Living launches new app for residents
Exciting news to take us through to 2019 – Fizzy have launched an app for tenants to help make life with us even better! Residents will use the app to arrange parcel collection, report repairs and connect with neighbours in their building. The app has currently launched in Walthamstow and we’re excited to roll it out to all other Fizzy sites in the new year.
Property Week Management All-Stars Awards
Finishing 2018 off on a high, on top of what has already been an excellent year – Fizzy won the coveted ‘Build-to-Rent / Private Rented Sector operator of the year’ award. “We’re already working on a whole host of ideas for 2019. You can be sure that next year we’ll be continuing to improve the resident experience and make renting fun and hassle-free” said Harry Downes, managing director of Fizzy.
A big thank you to everyone who made our 2018 so memorable, to be a part of our Fizzy story in 2019 please get in contact with us here, we’d love to hear from you. Happy New Year!
