Bank Holiday Bonanza

This spring, we welcome back the ever-appreciated May bank holiday weekends! With so much to do in our city, we’ve narrowed down our top choices of bank holiday activities near each Fizzy building, to help you make the most your time off.

Hayes

Ruislip Lido - Just a 15 minute drive from Fizzy Hayes is the beautiful Ruislip Lido, nicknamed ‘London’s secret beach’ is the perfect place to spend the bank holiday weekends soaking up the sun. Ruislip lido also offers the scenic mini gauge railway with trains operating regularly all weekend.

Adventure Golf - The ultimate fun day out this bank holiday for activity enthusiasts. Adventure Golf is guaranteed to keep the family entertained all day with its range of dinosaur, Jurassic park and pirate themed mini golf courses. A must visit this bank holiday.

Canning Town

Up at the O2 - One for all the thrill seekers, Up at the O2 involves walking over the top of the famous Millennium Dome in nearby Greenwich. A guided expedition which is best for a sunny day, there is even an observation platform which provides spectacular views across London.

The Crystal - Only a stone’s throw away from Fizzy Canning town is the Crystal building, the crystal’s Sustainable Cities exhibition is a fascinating experience for all ages.

Lewisham

Royal Observatory Greenwich

This bank holiday find out about the history of Greenwich Mean Time and explore how great scientists first mapped the seas and the stars. Now it is home to the Prime Meridian Line, a 4.5 billion year-old asteroid and London’s only planetarium!

Lewisham Arts Café in Manor Park

Situated in Manor Park, between Hither Green and Lewisham, the Lewisham Arts Café will be hosting yoga, live music and art classes over the coming bank holidays, so South Londoners – book in now! 

Stepney Green

Stepney City Farm

One of our local favourites, this East London community farm really does provide fun for all the family. Aside from visiting lots of cute animals, you can also learn how to grow food, try out arts and crafts, and attend the weekly farmers’ market.

Victoria Park

If you’re looking for beautiful green space over bank holiday weekend, look no further than Victoria Park, the green gem of the East End. Once you have finished exploring Victoria Park, head over to Columbia Road flower market which will be open this bank holiday.    

Walthamstow

William Morris Gallery

One of the most influential British artists and textile designers, you’ll easily recognise William Morris’ designs throughout. The gallery is open all bank holiday and a great trip if it’s raining outside, for sunny weather head to the galleries beautiful gardens with a cream tea from the cafe!

Walthamstow Wetlands

Just 15 minutes from central London, and free to visit, this wetland nature reserve is a wildlife oasis right on our Fizzy Walthamstow doorstep and one of the largest in Europe! Whether you're a keen angler or an avid birder, there is something for everyone here. The Visitor Cafe, situated in the Engine House, also provides a perfect spot for weekend brunch.

Epsom

Hobbledown adventure park and zoo

Adventure awaits at Hobbledown park and zoo, from zorbing and imaginative indoor play to meeting meerkats and walking alpacas! Hobbledown has an action packed line-up to keep the whole family entertained.

Epsom Common

Residents of Fizzy Epsom are lucky to have this open space so close to home. Epsom Common is a 177 hectare, internationally important wildlife sanctuary known for its variety of birds so perfect for nature lovers.

Poplar

Museum of London Docklands

Part of the Museum of London, The Docklands tells the history of London's River Thames and Docklands. With free entry and located in the centre of Poplar, surrounded by the famous docks, you would be crazy not to go (especially on a rainy Bank Holiday).

Emirates Cable Car

Take to the air this bank holiday on London's only cable car and enjoy a truly unique experience in east London. Within walking distance from Fizzy Poplar, the Emirates cable car offers a view of the city like no other, for any night owls why not try the stunning night flight experience!
