We recently completed our second customer satisfaction survey with HomeViews, and received an incredible 269 responses. As a result of the survey, we’re thrilled to announce that all seven Fizzy Living developments now have a HomeViews rating of over 4.35 out of 5. What’s more, 97% of you who submitted a review in 2019 would recommend us to friends and family! We also scooped a string of 2019 HomeViews Awards, which you can find out more about here.
We loved reading your survey responses – from happy pets to a hassle-free move, we’re proud of the things we’re getting right. And we received countless comments about your amazing Bobs. So much so, the HomeViews team asked to sit down with Serina at Fizzy Canning Town for a chat…
Serina, thank you so much for taking the time to talk to HomeViews! Tell us how you came to work at Fizzy Canning Town?
I was recommended to Fizzy by a friend of mine who works at the Fizzy head office. I moved to London from Australia, I met the Fizzy family and the rest is history! It’s been very different to my previous job roles and although challenging at times, it’s a great place to work with wonderful people, people who I know will be lifelong friends. It’s definitely a Fizzy family for sure.
“Friendly, helpful, nothing’s too much trouble.” That’s just a tiny snapshot of how the Fizzy reviewers described you. What would you say is your favourite thing about the job?
It’s really lovely to hear these lovely comments from my tenants, because it makes me happy to know they value me. I definitely think the tenant interaction and getting to know my tenants is the best part of my job. At Fizzy, we always like to make people feel welcome and feel that they are part of a community. It can be hard moving to London and adjusting to such a big city (something I know well as I come from Australia). So being able to make my tenants feel like they are part of a community brings me a lot of joy. At Fizzy Canning Town, I meet people from all over the UK, Europe and other parts of the world. It’s so lovely to see everyone come together and live in a comfortable and friendly place. The fact that I can help contribute to that makes me happy.
What’s your most memorable Fizzy Canning Town moment?
This one is super easy for me; it was when Fizzy Canning Town finally became a pet friendly building. All my tenants and colleagues will tell you how much of a dog lover I am, so when we finally became pet friendly, I was jumping from the rooftops! I always tell my tenants that I have one rule before they move in, that rule is that they must bring their dog past my office when they leave for the day (that’s my little secret way of having doggy cuddles).
“An amazing building manager Serina! Always very helpful, supportive and with a beautiful smile!” You received glowing feedback and ratings from your tenants. What kind of qualities do you need to be a great Fizzy ‘Bob’?
A great big smile! My tenants lead such busy lives with work, outside commitments and all the other things life throws at them, that I know they appreciate seeing a friendly face when they come home. I also think dedication is a massive quality that is needed, as it really takes a lot of effort to get to know your tenants and their needs. Each one is different, so it’s important to understand what they need to make their time at Fizzy Canning Town as comfortable as possible. Organisation is super important as there is always a lot happening on a daily basis, so being organised and managing your diary well is certainly needed. And the most important quality I feel is a sense of humour. Being able to laugh and have a joke about your day really helps, especially when it’s been busy and there’s a lot going on.
“Serina, is always very helpful and proactive. The frequent treats such as chocolates on Halloween, Valentine's Day etc always makes it a more pleasant place to live!” It sounds like you go all-out for holidays and events. What else keeps you busy at Fizzy Canning Town?
Yes we like to celebrate a lot at Fizzy so you will regularly see sweets and treats for our tenants in our reception areas! The Fizzy Canning Town site is the biggest site managed by a single Bob, so it does keep me busy. Signing for tenant parcels takes time, also helping my elderly tenants with carrying shopping, chatting to my tenants who just need a friendly face and lots of admin to make sure everything is in order. There’s also coordinating repairs with the repairs team, inventories, checkouts, move-ins, viewings and working with our cleaners and handymen to make sure the flats are always looking great. Document preparation, dealing with building maintenance, contractors and delivery drivers are also some more duties that keep me busy.
We ask all our reviewers one thing they wish they’d known before they moved in. So lastly, do you have any top tips or comments for someone who may be considering Fizzy Canning Town as their new home?
Fizzy Canning Town is a great, friendly and comfortable place to live. If you are really looking for a home, not just a flat and a place that has a caring Bob then Fizzy Canning Town is for you. The best part is how easy the process is from the minute you make your enquiry to the day you move in. A lot of my tenants say to me how smooth and easy the process is from the start and that they never knew how easy it would be. That’s definitely something to consider when flat hunting as I know how difficult it can be trying to find a new home! We want to make the process as easy and as smooth as possible.
