Lea Valley Walk
Although mostly rural, with the walk taking you through London’s marshlands and green spaces, this route finishes in the shadow of Canary Wharf. At 15.6 miles from start to finish, if you don’t fancy spending an entire day on the Lee Navigation Towpath, residents of Fizzy Walthamstow can pick up the route halfway and continue to Limehouse Basin.
Epping & Theydon Country Walk
For east London dwellers, Epping Forest is often somewhere you plan to visit but haven’t quite made it to, but now is the ideal time to cross it off the list. Easily accessed on public transport from all our east London locations, it’s the perfect place to spend autumnal days crunching leaves under foot and offers a wealth of possibilities for exploring in the fresh air. This six-mile route is signposted and takes you past archaeological finds that date back to 7500BC.
North Greenwich to Blackheath
Taking you past highlights such as the Thames Barrier, Charlton House, Woolwich Common and 17th Century Morden College, this 8.5-mile route that starts at the Millennium Dome offers an eclectic mix of attractions sure to make the miles pass almost unnoticed. For residents of our Poplar, Canning Town and Lewisham locations, this is a great way to find out more about the local area.
