COVID-19 update

14th May Update: 

We’re here to help during this challenging time

We appreciate it’s a challenging and uncertain time for everyone. Our thoughts go out to the people who are being most affected by this unprecedented event and we thank the healthcare workers and those in the local communities who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus.

As per the Government update from the 13th May 2020, that lettings and move in / move outs are permitted to resume and we want to reassure all our residents that your health and welfare is of the utmost importance to us. We’ll be doing everything we can to ensure the proper precautions are in place to keep you and our staff safe and secure.

We will be resuming in person viewings for vacant flats from Thursday 21st May and will be implementing the following changes in procedures for the protection and safety of our staff, residents viewers.

  • Prospective viewers requested to bring your own PPE (face mask & gloves), and must be not exhibiting any symptoms
  • Viewer and Fizzy rep must sanitise hands before and after viewing
  • One person per viewing permitted 
  • Only viewing pre-arranged for vacant flats or if tenanted flats will be viewed only with incumbent tenants permission and they are requested to be out of the premises at the time of viewing or remain on the balcony
  • The closure of common facilities such as co-working spaces, games rooms etc remains in force
  • Common areas including podiums and roof terraces remain open with strict social distancing enforced
  • You must be pre-qualified able to move in within 4 weeks

Fizzy reserve the right to cancel your viewing if any of the above conditions are not met at time of the viewing.

We’re operating as usual – many of our staff are working remotely but that doesn’t mean we aren’t here for you or that you need to put your plans on hold, we are offering virtual viewings and supporting residents for move-ins and move-outs.

 Things are however changing very quickly and if there is any further impact on our services we will update you as soon as we can. 

  • We have a duty of care to all of our residents and our employees. Therefore, if you have been in contact with people showing symptoms of the virus, you are self-isolating or you have underlying health issues we ask that you contact us and notify us.
  • We are able to offer virtual viewings via Skype or FaceTime or via sharing videos of the available apartment.
  • Effective from Monday 16th March 2020 all Bobs will only attend site for business critical duties. This measure is being taken to limit exposure to residents, members of the public and contractors that may be carrying the virus.

The business critical duties that you will be carried out are:

  • Move-In’s (preparation and inventories)
  • Move-Out’s (checkout and cleaning access)
  • Skype/Facetime viewings (where necessary- if no video yet available)
  • Access for essential or emergency repairs

Staying safe

We’re following Government advice on preventing the spread of infection, including undertaking additional deep cleaning of communal areas and all resident events are postponed until further notice

To avoid catching COVID-19, we are encouraging residents to adhere to the following NHS advice:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water – do this for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are unavailable, use hand sanitiser gel.
  • Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze, and put used tissues in the bin immediately, washing your hands afterwards.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean and avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
  • Any resident who is presenting with symptoms of a cough, a temperature or shortness of breath should self-isolate and call 111 for medical advice. Please notify us if you are experiencing symptoms or self-isolating.
