Meet Jason – The Wonderful Walthamstow BOB
Jason started his Fizzy life when Walthamstow was opening nearly 2 and a half years ago. He is our in-house Marvel and movie buff, dog lover and is always smiling and humming a tune. We sat down with him to write our next interview in our BOB series…
What you love about your role?
‘I love getting to know all of my residents, there are so many different types of amazing people that live here, everybody has their own story and we have great relationships with the tenants.’
What makes fizzy unique in your opinion?
‘Fizzy is unique because it is a very personalised service that each tenant gets. You have your on-site bob that deals with everything from your referencing, moving in and then any issues you have throughout your tenancy right up to when you eventually leave. We are building experts and we know the local area too. Fizzy is such a vibrant and energetic company, we love to make renting as stress free and easy for everybody and that’s what our residents love!’
What are the best and worst bits about your job?
‘One of my favourite things about the job is that we are pet friendly, meaning I get to meet all pets that live here! Some of the animals here can really brighten up your day and I love when a resident asks me to go and check on their pet if they are out for the day, I am always happy to have some doggy cuddles! I loved when we did the Doga event as it gave me the chance to do something fun with my residents and it was an experience like no other!’
Could you tell me what some of your favourite thing about your building & local area
‘I love the food/drink places we have in the local area such as Wood Street Café, Armstrong Audio Coffee Shop and Yassers kebab shop (best kebab ever!) Fave thing about the building would have to be the co-working space as we get the chance to get to know our residents better when they are down here using that area. I also am a huge fan of a Chinese take away and Caribbean food – of which there are plenty of options in Walthamstow Central.’
If you were to live at a fizzy building, other than your own, where would you select and why?
‘I would probably choose Canning Town, I really like the flats there that I have seen, they are very spacious! Also you’re not far from Westfield in Stratford which would be great. And of course I’d love to live there as my BOB would be Serina and she is amazing!’
